Estrogen Patch
$70 for a 4-week supply
Estradiol patches provide convenient, controlled hormone replacement therapy through a discreet adhesive patch applied to the skin. Each patch delivers a consistent, continuous dose of estradiol, the primary form of estrogen.
Direct absorption through the skin eliminates potential stomach upset and reduces first-pass liver metabolism. Transdermal delivery may also reduce certain risks associated with oral estrogen therapy, including blood clot formation.
Available in various strengths to allow for individualized dosing based on patient needs.
Compounded drugs are permitted to be prescribed under federal law but are not FDA-approved. For more information on side effects and other safety information, see full important safety information.

FAQs
Transdermal patches deliver estradiol through the skin directly into the bloodstream, bypassing the liver. Oral estrogen, by contrast, is processed through the liver before it reaches circulation, which can affect how the body handles it and may influence cardiovascular risk factors like clotting proteins. Patches also provide more stable, consistent hormone levels throughout the day, which tends to reduce complaints like estrogen peaks that can trigger migraines.
That said, oral estrogen is absolutely an option we offer at Inflexxion Health. It is less expensive than the patch, and some women's skin doesn't tolerate transdermal patches or creams well. What matters most is that you have options: the right choice is one you make together with your clinician.
Estradiol patches are typically applied to clean, dry skin on your lower abdomen, buttocks, or upper hip away from the waistband and on a site with minimal hair. Most patches are changed twice weekly (every three to four days), though some formulations are designed for once-weekly use. Your specific patch schedule will be noted in your prescription instructions. Rotating application sites helps prevent skin irritation. If a patch loosens or falls off, press it back firmly or contact our team for guidance.
