Progesterone Capsule
From $30 for a 30-day supply
Progesterone capsules deliver bioidentical progesterone hormone in convenient oral form, providing essential hormonal balance for women's health needs.
Available in multiple strengths, these capsules can be easily adjusted to meet specific therapeutic goals while providing calming and sleep-promoting benefits, so we generally recommend taking progesterone once a day before bedtime.
Compounded drugs are permitted to be prescribed under federal law but are not FDA-approved. For more information on side effects and other safety information, see full important safety information for sustained-release and immediate-release capsules.

FAQs
No. One of the advantages of the compounded micronized progesterone we prescribe at Inflexxion Health is that it is formulated without common allergens — no peanut oil, no soy-derived ingredients, and no artificial food dyes. This matters because Prometrium, the brand-name FDA-approved progesterone capsule that many practices prescribe, contains peanut oil as an inactive ingredient and peanut allergy is listed as a contraindication on its label. Prometrium also contains soy-derived lecithin and yellow and red food dyes that vary by capsule strength, which can be a concern for women with sensitivities to these ingredients. By working with a compounding pharmacy, we are able to formulate micronized progesterone in a clean base that delivers the same bioidentical progesterone without the allergen or additive burden. For women who have been told they cannot take Prometrium due to a peanut or soy allergy, or who simply prefer a cleaner formulation, this is a clinical advantage. As always, please share your full allergy history with your clinician so your prescription can be tailored appropriately.
